About the Baker

Vintage Baked Modern is an all-natural specialty baking company located in downtown Valparaiso, Indiana. We have been selling our specialty foods in grocery stores, universities, micro-markets, and cafes since 2013. In addition to wholesale, we ship products nation-wide, have retail store pop-ups and classes. Our commercial facility is gluten-free.

In 2012, I left my 20+ year career as event planner and fundraiser. Born with an entrepreneurial spirit and a combined passion for living a healthy lifestyle, I created my first business, Harvest Circle Workshop. There I developed all-natural innovative snacks like Harvest Superfood Balls and Harvest Superfood Granola.

Building on that momentum in the natural foods space, in 2019 I re-branded the company to Vintage Baked Modern, introducing a new specialty line of premium gluten-free products like baking mixes and baked goods.

Our all-natural, specialty food products include: gluten-free flour, gluten-free baking mixes, Harvest Superfood Balls, gluten-free and vegan baked goods like cookies, muffins, cupcakes, etc., and our new ready-to-bake refrigerated cookie dough.

We take classic retro recipes and convert them to meet today's specialty diets, by stripping away what our modern taste palettes have unfortunately become used to...processed commercial baked goods filled with chemicals and artificial flavors...and bite into the flavor and taste simplicity of yesteryear. It's not what's saved in your recipe files, it's what in your memories.

FUN FACT: I have a large collection of vintage cookbooks and recipes. Vintage recipes are typically defined as 20+ years old. I also have a cookie cutter collection of over 1,000 cutters.
